1. On the Loose - Niall Horan

From his debut album, ‘Flicker’ Horan releases ‘On the Loose’ as his fourth single. The song has a soft rock sound and a Fleetwood Mac guitar riff. The song starts off with the beat of the drums and then echoic electric guitar riff. His voice is a mixture of soft and rough, which works perfectly with the sound.

2. Sign of the Times - Harry Styles

With influences like Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac, Styles was going to present us an incredible debut song. A piano tune that synchronises with the heartbeat, and drums that control the chorus. The echo and falsetto voice he delivers gives goose bumps to the skin. Styles introduced the world his version of a classic rock ballad song in 2017.

3. 1950 - King Princess

Piano chords and a enjoyable beat to click your fingers to. A delicate voice and slow instruments, the song is focused on the voice and the emotion behind it. Listen to the lyrics and you find out more about what the song is about.

4. What Do I know? - Ed Sheeran

The moment the song begins to plays, you want to sing along or hum to the up-beat tempo melody. Who does not love a little bit of Ed Sheeran? Hearing the finger slide across the string of the acoustic guitar, and the beat of the bass displays a homey and relaxing tune to the overall song.

5. Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac

Go Your Own Way has everything, a good tempo, and is always driving even when the song is at its slowest parts. All the instruments get introduced to the song before the captivating chorus. This song is easily one of Fleetwood Mac’s greatest songs they have released.

6. Time - Pink Floyd

Ring of different bells and alarms going off before a ticking beat occurs. With other instruments slowing being introduced with their own unique tone. These tones get louder over time giving a suspense feeling, beats of a drums and a guitar riff begin before a voice comes through your headphones. This song is heavily focused on the instruments, the music and the sensations.

7. The Boys of Summer - Don Henley

The tap on the hi-hats on the drums, the guitar riff and the piano keys starts the song off knowing it will be a good one. Henley has one of those famous hoarse rough voices that became identifiable during the years in the Eagles. This is a song you play during a road trip, with the windows down on a summer day.

8. Lost In Japan - Shawn Mendes

Lost In Japan has got a bit of funk with a Justin Timberlake inspiration. The overall melody and vibe you get from this song is chilled with the heavy rhythm and blues beat. The guitar and bass sound gives the song a rock arena sound.

9. Want You Back - 5 Seconds of Summer

Different from their usual music, Want You Back is more focused on a pop electronic sound with distorted guitar sounds, and breaking drums to go with the catchy melodies. The falsetto voice overpowers the instruments until the chorus, when it becomes equal.

10. Detroit Rock City - Kiss

With a flamenco style guitar technique making Detroit Rock City one of Kiss’ iconic songs they have released. Two different guitar riffs start the song off, accompanied by the classic rock drumming breaking through, and the deep melody the bass delivers, this song is perfect to example of rock music. Hearing the classic guitar solo with the continuous beat of the drums, you won’t hear this type of melodic and rhythmic tune in today’s music.
